The is my son's second backpack. He loves this one it is very sturdy and he uses it daily.would recommend, it has many pockets as well as a separate one for laptop. His previous bag kept up rather long and still looked ok.I had the smaller version of this bag for about 6 years and it began to slowly give up. Great bag.Now this one is larger and I do enjoy it quite a bit there are a few minor details i should point out.I liked the zipper mesh in the smaller one because it zipped at top not an arch like this one (not a deal breaker). I removed the waist strap as i use this bag for work and I'm a dj. Nice to have the extra pockets but it got annoying. And on of the liners inside tore within 2 days of owning. So that's pretty much the bad.The good well.. everything. It has tons of space, tons of pockets. Best of all it is expandable and has that hidden compartment. I use it to store running clothes for when I get off work i have it separate and won't get my work stuff smelly.or dirty. It's a very diverse bag and I know will delivery many years of use. Working in night clubs this bag get put through some interesting situations and places. The handles are sturdy and for the most part protects things inside well, just don't drop the bag it doesn't have much padding.PROS: Spacious, 2 main compartments, laptop sleeve area, internal frame plate with aluminum bar reinforcement, plenty of pouches, lots of organization, GREAT waist belt, light for the material it's made from.CONS: Pouches on straps are not removable, side handles take up precious molle space, ports for camelbak tube aren't big enough, No upper cinch straps for bag to keep it tight and keep the bag from blooming out from the rear, limited strap adjustment, included extra straps for bottom of bag don't hold well (Lots of slippage in the buckles),I've been looking for a larger version of my Falcon-II that I could fit all of my gear in. My Falcon-II barely held all of my gear for summer hiking/hammock camping and I knew that I'd need more space with winter coming up and all the extra warm gear that is needed. I considered getting an ALICE Hellcat pack but when I saw one I realized that it was TOO MUCH space and would be tempting to overload. I may still get one just for the heck of it, but for now, the GUNNY pack does it for me.It holds all of my gear and so far I can fit everything I need inside of it with the exception of my hammock underquilt. But that's only because it's a full length down sleeping bag turned into an underquilt. In any case, I can strap the underquilt to the underside of the bag and that particular problem is taken care of.The bag currently carries 30 pounds of gear quite eloquently once the straps were adjusted properly. As I stated above, it does have a few cons, the biggest for me being the pouches on the straps. I think that I might not have bought this bag if I knew that the pouches were not removable. They tend to get in the way more than I like and it makes mounting my pack light harder. Whereas on my Falcon-II I could mount the light low and have it light from my chest level...on the Tour of Duty pack, I have to mount the light above the strap pouch which is right under my chin and the light has a tendency to be too bright in my eyes at that level. Also, the pouches make clipping my camelbak hose to the straps difficult.niceSo far, best backpack I’ve ever owned. I love keeping things compartmentalized and this does it with room to spare. I’m in the Army and use this as my assault pack, carry’s so much it’s insane. Only thing so far is I wish I could take off the pockets on the shoulder straps, but oh well. Seems super durable, we will see how it holds up!I'm ecstatic with this pack!I looked for weeks to find something that covered all the needs I have as a road warrior. This backpack fits the bill. I'll be able to bring along all my business tools and there are tons of pockets to stash portable jump drives, business cards, pens, cords, connector cables, etc. Plus, the pack even has room for clothes if you're taking a quick trip.I am hoping that it will last a long time. It seems very durable so I'm excited to give it a try. I can't understand why more backpack makers don't create universal tools like this one. Either the bags are good for computer users with little or no extra storage or they are good for people packing clothes only and don't consider business travelers. This one will clearly work for both!To make it even better, it has molle loops all over it so should I need to add some extra pouches for more storage, it won't be a problem at all. This was a great find.I purchased this backpack from tru-spec right after it was released on 4-13-13. I wanted the pack because it was the only one I found that had two large compartments and a laptop sleeve. I am an IT guy and I want to be able to always have my laptop with me. This backpack carries all my IT gear and all my emergency gear + my backup EDC fire arm. I looked for a backpack for weeks before I ordered this pack. I even had to wait for it to come out. Not only was it priced well. It had more options and features than many of the competitor packs. If you are looking for an EDC pack I would recommend this pack. It’s comfortable and has options to add anything all over it. An absolutely Amazing backpack !I own a lot of different backpacks like Maxpedition, Hazard 4, Condor Elite and I must admit this a one hell of backpack.I used this pack as an EDC pack everyday to work and it is highly recommended.Awesome little backpack with multiple pouches for a wide variety of smaller items
